What we do
In the spring of 2016, ENPA (an animal welfare NGO) opened this Wildlife Rescue Center in Liguria, Italy. It is a facility where all wildlife in need can take refuge, be treated and rehabilitated to return to the wild. Releasing wildlife back to the wild is indeed the ultimate goal of a wildlife rescue centre, playing a crucial role in safeguarding our natural heritage. Thus, a wildlife rescue centre offers a service to biodiversity, to balance as much as possible the damage caused by anthropogenic activities.
We offer a service to biodiversity, to balance as much as possible the damage caused by anthropogenic activities. Near the border between Italy and France, we are located on an important ecological wildlife corridor, home to many endangered species and a hub for migrations that see a variety of animals journeying every year from Africa to Northern Europe. Our centre is equipped to accommodate any wildlife through large aviaries, a clinic and fences that are isolated from the urban environment and protected by vegetation.
Besides wildlife rescue, we also are a research and data collection center as well as an information dissemination center. Throughout the year, we organize events to discuss issues related to the environment and biodiversity, and to share our experience. Please contact us or follow us on Facebook and Instagram to be updated on our animals and upcoming events!
